Quebec – Lithium & Gold
Leaf River Project
The Leaf River Project consists of two individual blocks of mineral claims in Nunavik region of northern Quebec totaling 25,636ha. The project is approximately 140km WSW from Tasiujaq, a community on the western side of Ungava Bay.
Both of the Leaf River claim blocks were acquired as part of the acquisition package from Shawn Ryan and cover concentrations of anomalous lake sediment samples with multiple values in the 99th percentile for lithium. Lightly mapped in 1998, the local geology consists of a mix of northwest trending geological units such as amphibolite, diorite, gabbro, granodiorite and monzogranites. Regional magnetic survey data also suggests possible faulting structures running through the southern claim block, in the vicinity of a group of five lake sediment samples with 99th percentile lithium values.
Field crews are scheduled to mobilize and conduct a Phase 1 traversing program across the Leaf River concessions after completion of the Phase 1 work at Musquaro in early summer 2023.
