Ontario – Lithium
Other Ontario Projects
Targa has three projects outside of the town of Cochrane in northeastern Ontario. Historic drill holes with pegmatite intercepts were drilled on all three projects during past exploration programs for base and precious metals. In total, these three projects consist of 631 claim cells covering 13,100ha of ground with a mix of road and helicopter access. These projects and the historically intercepted pegmatites have not been previously explored or assess for their rare element pegmatite potential. Targa’s exploration team made initial reconnaissance visits to each property in May of 2024 where some outcrops were sampled. Lab results are pending.
CASE LAKE
- Case Lake sits on the edge of the Case Lake Batholith and covers 3,800ha.
- The Case Lake Batholith is a major igneous body that correlates to known lithium occurrences.
- Three historic drill holes on the project have intercepted pegmatites totaling 50m in collective width.
- The project is road accessible.
LAKESHORE
- The Lakeshore project is 4,000ha in size.
- Anomalous beryllium and cesium values were noted during historic gold exploration.
- A 12.2m wide intercept of pegmatite was encountered in historic drilling but was not analyzed for lithium.
- The project is road accessible.
DETOUR WEST
- The Lakeshore project is 4,000ha in size.
- Anomalous beryllium and cesium values were noted during historic gold exploration.
- A 12.2m wide intercept of pegmatite was encountered in historic drilling but was not analyzed for lithium.
- The project is road accessible.
